Home > Reflective Teaching in Further, Adult and Vocational Education, 5th Ed > 3. Teaching for learning > 9. Curriculum > Reflective Activities > How the way we use computers has changed
Try to find old prospectuses from your college or organization to see how the curriculum on offer has changed to reflect the changes in the way we use computers and how students are given opportunities to acquire the necessary skills and knowledge to keep pace with these changes.
It is also interesting to see how certain subjects have changed in the way they are named and framed, as well as the content of their programmes. In the 1970s, people wanting to learn how to decorate cakes attended ‘Cake Decoration’ classes. Today they attend ‘Sugarcraft’ sessions. What other examples can you identify from these prospectuses?
