To review and explore the significance of ideology, culture, opportunity and accountability.
Arrange to meet with a small group of work colleagues. In preparation, share out study of each section of Chapter 4 so that ideology, culture, opportunity and accountability are each covered.
In a meeting, each sub-group should explain the issues raised in their section of the chapter, and should relate them to your work context. How, in particular, is your school affected by the context in which it exists?
What other contextual factors are particularly significant in determining the circumstances of your school?
