To consider the extent to which classroom development of students' meta-cognitive strategies could be enhanced.
Focus on a classroom in which you have some teaching responsibility. Review and self-consciously monitor your own practices. Perhaps you could also ask a colleague to observe you teach a session.
Consider the three simple conclusions suggested by Nisbet and Shucksmith (1986).
