To explore how principles about pedagogy relate to our own planning and teaching.
Review a sequence of three lessons you have recently planned and taught. Identify as many different aspects of pedagogy as possible within and between the three lessons, explaining and justifying them in the light of what you have just read. What is the balance between the different aspects (science, craft and art) and how do you account for it? What challenges did the sequence present in terms of your subject knowledge?
What implications are there for classroom interactions and teachers’ scaffolding of students’ learning in this series of lessons?
