To reflect upon the usefulness of the planning in your setting
Work with colleagues to gather their opinions. Ask them how useful the long, medium and short-term planning in your setting is.
Consider whether planning is based upon children’s interests? Whether all practitioners have opportunities to contribute? Whether planning is flexible?
Reflect on how your planning could be improved.
Identify any negative or challenging responses. Consider what steps you could take to rectify any concerns, and whether staff in your setting would benefit from additional training to overcome these issues.
