To use a set of professional standards to support professional learnings.
Essentially, the coaching wheel framework can be used to support reflection against any set of standards. Simply fill each of the boxes with elements from your chosen professional standard, and then rate yourself along the spoke, where 0 = not confident/needs lots of further development, and 10 = very confident and secure. Importantly, you should seek to identify the evidence base upon which you make each judgement, as this is the reflective part. Once you have rated each element of the standard and identified clear evidence for your judgements, you should look at the wheel as a whole to identify the overall picture and any patterns which emerge.
Looking holistically at the wheel, make decisions about next steps in your professional learning.
