To reflect upon the ‘curriculum as experienced’ in the primary phase.
Think back to your own experience of the curriculum in your primary school. Were you aware of how your teachers organised your working day? Was the day / week divided up into ‘subject compartments’ or was some, or all, of the teaching done through the amalgamation of subject learning under topic headings?
Think about what you remember most vividly about your experience of the curriculum in your primary school. Was it an experience that could be placed under a subject heading? Why is it such a clear memory?
