To reflect on the ways in which teachers aid learning through minute-by-minute and lesson-by-lesson adjustments.
Think about times when you, or teachers you have observed, have adjusted teaching on the basis of students’ learning. What provided the evidence of students’ learning, or misunderstandings? What was the nature of the adjustments made?
What experience do you have of when adjustments should have been made but were not? What was the result? How could the situation have been handled differently?
