To develop information sharing systems for support staff and parents
To develop information sharing systems for support staff and parents.
Evidence and reflection
Having established initial procedures with a new adult in the classroom, it is necessary to develop a simple, on-going method of providing information about groups, tasks and teaching intentions. Of course you will talk to any adult working in your class, but there will be times when this will not be as full a discussion as you would like.
Initiate a book for recording, very simply, teaching objectives for the relevant groups, together with any pertinent details to enable the adult to focus their input. Keep it in a particular space in the classroom and discuss its use with all adults who will help in your classroom.
You may wish to have one book for professional colleagues and one for parents. Ask professional colleagues to contribute assessment information in a relevant section of their book.
