Reading and writing in your teaching
Think of the very last session you have taught or attended as a student, and identify ALL the reading involved.
Include what you read from a board, from the walls, handouts, other instructions, reading silently and aloud. Just think of what happens in the session. Make a list. Now add anything that was assigned as homework. Now add anything else to do with the logistics or administration of the course. Is it more or less than you thought?
Now do the same for writing.
